Shipping Policies
SlingFin's shipping policies are as follows:
1. International customers are responsible for all import duties and taxes, brokerage fees, etc. These fees are usually assessed by the courier upon delivery of the product. Failure to pay fees will result in the shipment being returned to SlingFin at buyer's expense. Please, please do your research before having our tents shipped internationally and reach out to us if you have any questions before ordering. Canadian customers can estimate duty here.
2. No freight forwarders. We don't ship to commercial freight forwarding addresses for liability reasons. Orders to freight forwarder addresses will be canceled if you cannot provide a valid new shipping address. If your order to a freight forwarding address is canceled, the transaction fees (3%-4% from Shopify and Paypal) will not be refunded.
3. We do not ship directly to Germany, the UK, France, the Netherlands, or Switzerland. We have agreements with a local distributor who manages a network of local shops in those countries. Please check our Find a Dealer page to find our tents in Europe.
4. Shipping times are estimates. Shopify auto-generates shipping estimates based on your address. Especially during COVID, delays are common, and those estimates should be taken with a grain of salt. If you need your tent for an upcoming trip, please reach out to us and we can recommend a shipping service to get you your tent on time.
